Going to ladies day at the races, or attending a wedding but don't have a hat? Don't compromise on style if your budget does not allow. At Julian Jeremy Millinery we want everyone to feel special, so our hire service is the perfect option for you.

Encouraging sustainable fashion, hiring means you can wear the same outfit, but change your headpiece and accessories to give the impression of multiple outfits.


We take pride in our work at Julian Jeremy Millinery, and great care is taken to make sure customers are 100% satisfied with their headpiece. This is why we recommend that you contact Julian Jeremy Millinery if you have any concerns over hiring any products from us. Contact us

Please note that, due to the many variations in monitors and browsers, the colour of products may appear different. Computer monitors are not all calibrated equally, we have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of the products we sell. 

Terms and Conditions:

  • Items and images bearing the Julian Jeremy Millinery Label and on the website are subject to copyright of Julian Jeremy Millinery. Any reproduction of images must obtain permission from Julian Jeremy Millinery.

  • All headpieces are delicate, so make sure to protect the headpiece from adverse weather. Seek shelter from rain, snow or high winds.

  • Please note that Terms and Conditions vary for Ready-to-Wear, Hire and Commissioned contracts and would advise clicking on the links from the drop down FAQ menu.

  • Signing any Ready-to-Wear receipt, Hire Contract and/or Commissions Invoice, affirms you have read all the Terms and Conditions associated with it.

  • Hire is currently only eligible within the UK.

  • Hired headpieces and accessories remain the property of Julian Jeremy Millinery at all times.

  • Hired headpieces and accessories may only be worn by the hirer.

  • Please report any damage with photos, immediately to julianjeremy@hotmail.co.uk

  • If the headpiece is damaged beyond repair, the full RRP will be paid by the hirer.

  • Some headpieces may be fitted with hypoallergenic tape to protect from make-up stains. Please do not remove it, this will be classed as damage.

Booking and Payment:

  • ​Please note that certain times of the year maybe busier than others, such as Ascot, and would advise making contact as soon as possible when looking to hire so as to avoid disappointment.

  • To secure a headpiece, the hire charge and refundable deposit (Plus postage if needed) must be paid in full, and the hire contract signed.

  • Hire charge should be paid in full to Julian Jeremy Millinery prior to the headpiece being collected/despatched.

  • Hire is for a 3 day rental period (or agreed date) and needs to be returned by the agreed date on the hire invoice.

  • Day1 begins date received by hirer. Once a headpiece is received, it is considered a hire even if not worn.

  • Headpieces returned later than agreed hire date above will incur an additional charge of £20.00 per day being retained from your deposit.

  • Deposit will be refunded within 2-3 days, when the headpiece is returned and reviewed.

  • Your deposit will be refunded via the same method of payment used to pay for it.

Cancellation:

  • Cancellations made 14 days or more prior to the agreed hire dates will result in a full refund in deposit, hire charge and postage (if applicable).

  • Cancellations within 14 days of the agreed hire dates will receive a full refund in deposit, postage (if applicable) and 50% of hire charge. 

Shipping and Returns:

  • Hire is for a 3 day rental period (or agreed date) and needs to be returned by the agreed date on the hire invoice.

  • Day1 begins date received by hirer. Once a headpiece is received, it is considered a hire even if not worn.

  • Hired headpieces are currently only available to be shipped within the UK.

  • Headpieces can be collected and returned from the studio upon agreement. 

  • Shipping requests must be disclosed prior to hire and charged accordingly to the headpiece.

  • Shipping costs vary from item to item, due the weight and/or size.

  • All shipping is despatched with Royal Mail. If you require an alternative shipping method then this must be disclosed prior to hire.

  • All shipping will be despatched tracked (Tracking number sent via email) and will require a signature upon delivery.

  • Delivery dates will vary according to location and shipping method.

  • Shipping refers only to headpieces that have been despatched via the post to you, the customer. Not in the transportation of headpieces that are collected in person from the studio.

  • The upmost care is taken in the packaging of your headpiece and is expected in its return. Any damage or delay in the return, may result in part or all of your deposit being retained.

  • Any damage during shipping to your delivery address, must be reported immediately, with photos tjulianjeremy@hotmail.co.uk

  • Headpieces must be returned in their original, undamaged packaging.

  • Postal returns are free and easy from anywhere in the UK. Please contact julianjeremy@hotmail.co.uk for advice.

  • It is your responsibility, the customer on the invoice, to ensure this return reaches us. Please email a photo of the tracking receipt from the Post Office to julianjemery@hotmail.co.uk

  • Once returned, the headpiece will be reviewed for any damage (including, but not limited to dents, water damage, makeup stains, any alterations). Any damage will result in all or part of your deposit being retained.

  • Headpieces returned later than agreed hire date stated on the hire invoice will incur an additional charge of £20.00 per day being retained from your deposit.

  • Deposit will be refunded within 2-3 days, when the headpiece is returned and reviewed.
